The old joke is that there is no such thing as bad press, as long as they spell your name correctly. Sometimes, though, you get truly good press. And when it comes from a respected source, that’s something special! So, imagine our delight when Floralife earned a mention in Fine Gardening Magazine!
Fine Gardening Magazine has been a respected home improvement title for years. In their latest issue, they take a look at flower food. Specifically, “What Makes Flowers Last Longer?” The subhead says it all: “Everyone has heard some trick to keep a bloom-filled vase beautiful. We find out which ones really work.”
Fine Gardening, in conjunction with The University of North Carolina, tested 6 additives against plain water. Those additives were:
- Vinegar and Sugar
- Sugar Only
- Bleach and Sugar
- Lemon-lime Soda
- Floralife Flower Food
They then observed vase life and beauty and passed judgement.
- Worst Overall: Vinegar and sugar. 2 to 7 days
- Best overall: Floralife Flower Food! 9 to 14 days. Money quote: “Flowers treated with Floralife Flower Food 300 lasted longest and looked the best – and the water remained clearest.”
Here at Floralife, we also do the research. We test our formulas constantly to provide floral professionals and enthusiasts with products that help flowers stay beautiful longer. In fact, we also wrote a Research Update on the topic of Floralife vs. Home Remedies. Check it out!
